A bite-sized showcase of international animation brings fresh style and drama to Star Wars.

“Journey to the Dark Head” also brings novelty to the traditional Sith vs. Jedi duel.

 The team at Studio Mir, the Korean studio behind The Legend of Korra and The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf, are masters of anime-style action, and that skill is shown off in a dramatic tale set at the height of the wars between Jedi and Sith.

 The episode has both a spectacular setting — a planet that houses two enormous sculptures representing the two sides of the Force — and an ominous villain who uses a chain whip as much as his red lightsaber. It’s one of the shorts that most feels like the start of a new adventure rather than just a standalone story.

<코라의 전설>과 <위쳐: 늑대의 악몽>을 제작한 한국 스튜디오, 스튜디오 미르 팀은 아니메 스타일 액션의 대가로 제다이와 시스 간의 전쟁이 한창일 때를 배경으로 하는 드라마틱한 스토리 설정 속에서 능숙한 액션을 자랑했다.

 이 에피소드는 포스의 양면을 상징하는 두 개의 거대한 석상이 존재하는 행성이라는 스펙타클한 설정과 붉은 라이트세이버와 함께 사슬 채찍을 휘두르는 사악한 빌런 캐릭터를 동시에 보여주었다. <어둠의 머리를 벨 수 있다면>은 단순히 독자적인 스토리 한편에서 그치지 않고 새로운 어드벤처가 시작되는 듯한 느낌을 주는 단편 작품들 중 하나였다.

Verdict 평점

While the themes of Star Wars: Visions Volume 2 can be a bit repetitive, the diversity of characters and animation styles presented in tight episodes makes it well worth watching. Alternately goofy, political, sweet, and thrilling, the show celebrates the broad reach of Star Wars and provides plenty of characters and plots compelling enough to anchor their own spinoffs.

<스타워즈: 비전스> 볼륨 2는 다소 비슷한 테마가 많았지만, 제한적인 시간 내에 다양한 캐릭터와 애니메이션 스타일을 선보였다는 점에서 충분히 시청할 가치가 있었다. 그저 웃기기도 하고, 때로는 정치적인 의미를 지니고, 어떤 장면에서는 따뜻하고, 또 스릴이 넘치기도 한 이 작품은 스타워즈를 더 넓은 세계로 확장시켜주며 각 에피소드마다 스핀오프 작품이 나와도 될만큼 아주 매력적인 캐릭터와 플롯들을 보여주었다.
